Churches and Mission movements in Kenya united and collaborating to reach the Least Reached People Groups.
Mission
To catalyze unity in mission to the least reached people groups through fellowship, communication, equipping and mobilization of the body of Christ in Kenya.
Objectives
- To mobilize all expressions of the body of Christ (local churches, Christian groups, etc.) by way of mission awareness and education.
- To facilitate the training, equipping and sending of gospel workers to communities that have least access to the gospel for disciple-making and church planting.
- To facilitate the development of cross-cultural missions for the church of Kenya
- To work in partnership & collaboration with like-minded organizations, networks etc. to catalyze a mission movement in Kenya.

KEMA Leadership
Rev Dr. Steve Mbogo – Chairman
Dr. Stephen Mbogo is the International Team Leader/CEO of African Enterprise International. He is also the Lausanne Africa English, Portuguese & Spanish speaking (EPSA) Regional Director.
He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Daystar University, Kenya, 1992, Master’s degree in Christian Ministries from International Leadership University (ILU), Kenya, 1999; and a PhD in Intercultural studies with a focus on political leadership from Biola University in California (2013).
Stephen lives in Nairobi with his wife Prof. Rosemary Mbogo and their two children, Victor & Joy and as well as with a number of young people that they took into their home for mentorship. They are both passionate for raising vulnerable and orphaned children, a ministry they fulfil through ByGrace Trust and through which they have partnered with Partners for Patients (PFP).
Sam Ngugi – Deputy Chairman
Sam is the Executive Director of Mission Campaign Network (MCN) and GEN12 which exists to mobilize and prepare God’s people for world missions and the sending of missionaries to the Least Reached People Groups in Africa & Beyond. He is a founding member of Send Africa Network and part of its International Leadership Team, and Vice Chairman of Association of Mission in Kenya (KEMA). He’s the East African Global Regional Coordinator of Simply Mobilising and National Director of Perspectives Course on the World Christian Movement.
Sam is married to Harriet, and they are blessed with two children. They currently make their home in Bristol in the United Kingdom where Sam is a full time PhD student at Trinity College Bristol/Aberdeen University. Sam and Harriet in involved in Afro-diaspora mission mobilization through Pioneers UK. Sam and Dr Yaw Perbi have recently published a new book, Africa to the Rest: From Mission Field to Mission Force (Again)
Dr. Judy Wang’ombe – Secretary
Judy Wanjiru Wang’ombe (PhD) is married to Rev. Dr. Harun Wang’ombe. They are blessed with three children. Judy is a full time lecturer at Africa International University. She has engaged in cross-cultural work in various parts of Kenya. Currently, she enjoys carrying out anthropological research as well as training on inter-religious issues, social anthropology, and research. She loves making friends with people of other religions, as she seeks to understand their tenets and practices for effective engagement.
Dr. Aila Tasse – National Tresurer
Dr. Aila is the Founder and President of Lifeway Mission International and Evangelical Christian Church of Africa (ECCA), also serving as the Regional Director for New Generations (East and Southern Africa) and KEMA National Treasurer.
Lifeway is a mission organization that works among unreached people groups in Eastern Africa making Disciples, developing leaders and planting Churches. Aila travels around the world doing DMM Trainings, mentoring and coaching movement leaders, Church Planters with his greatest emphasis being in the seven countries of East Africa ranging from Sudan to Congo.
Aila lives in Nairobi, Kenya. He is married to Turu and has two boys and a girl. Aila has two master’s degrees in Missions and Leadership and a Doctorate degree in Transformational Leadership from Bakke Graduate University, Texas, USA.
Ibrahim Omondi – Advisory Council Rep.
Ibrahim and Diane Omondi both serve as DOVE International Apostolic Council members. They have been ministering together in Kenya since 1984. As apostolic leaders of DOVE Africa, Omondis give oversight to churches and ministries in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They also give leadership to DOVE Missions Africa which supports Kenyan and Ugandan missionaries serving among unreached people groups. The Omondi’s direct Springs of Africa, a non-profit organization focusing on micro-finance, environmental projects and various education initiatives.
Ibrahim (a native Kenyan) and Diane (American) are the parents of four children: three sons and a daughter. Ibrahim and Diane enjoy relaxing together by their fireplace, watching a good movie, going for walks, and being with their family.
